I take it there aren't any adjustment screws on the mag pouch? I picked up a Gould & Goodrich double for my 1911, and it was VERY tight at first. I put a couple loaded mags in and tightened the adjustment screws down as far as they'd go. A couple weeks later I backed them of a couple turns and the fit is about perfect.

For those that don't know Gordy's 'hood, I visited there to pick up my target stands last year. I kept the doors locked and the windows rolled up and felt the eyes most of the way there and back... the thumbstrap on my holster didn't get snapped closed again until I was back on the interstate heading home.

Wherever is comfortable for you - if you're carrying a Glock strongside, why not carry your J crossdraw weakside?
