If you need a firearm for home protection, or even if a wider 9mm pistol works for you for cc then the 6906 is the winner, no question.

I use the 15rd 5906 mags w/the S&W adapter and the 6906 offers a capacity of 15+1 (vs standard 12+1) and the "feel" of the 6906 w/the larger mag/adapter is actually better than w/the standard 12rd. mag, (for me).

If you want "thin" for daily cc, and limited capacity is no problem then the 3913 or 3913LS would be MY preferred choice between the two.

I actually find the LS TOO thin for my hands, and my cc choice is a CS9. (or CS45), but my wife loves the sucker and won't let me part with it.... Go figure?

All three are excellent, absolutely reliable and self defense accurate choices.

IMO all 3rd gen Smiths are fine pistols, underrated, under appreciated, and fantastic bargains in today's market.

If I were going to buy one or the other I'd opt for a nice 6906 first, then if you were not completely satisfied save up for a 3913 (or LS), then you have the best of both worlds.

Just personal opinion, no offense to those who might disagree..

Best Wishes,

Jesse
Thanks for your perspective. If everyone would send me a couple of hundred 9mm rounds, I could hurry and conclude testing. Maybe my results would match yours LOL.

Actually, MY 6906 has a better single and double action trigger than the 908, CS9, or 3913. However the others have triggers more than adequate for defensive uses.
