Your 39A may surprise you at 100 yards with a scope.
While Anschutz and the CZs are very nice as well as the winchester 52s, You will find that many .22s will shoot very well at 100 yards.
My 39a will shoot 2" at 100 if I do my part, Usually 3" for me though.
Try and shoot the 39 at shorter distances with irons and sand bags and see what happens, You may be happy, Mine is scoped.
