Dear Mr Michael Thornton and Forists
As I see in your recent post you shoot better groups with 21/2 inches barreled Model 686!!!!
I am trying to get more information of this handgun in 21/2 inches barrel in order to see if it fullfills my expectations therefore encourage meto buy a new Smith and Wesson 686 21/2 inches barrel.
I intend to use it at 25yds and enentualy at 50yds, as a home defense gun and a good range gun too, at the present time I own a Model 10-9 pencil barrel 4 inches barrel, fixed sights that shoots very consistent 3inches groups hands rested in sand sacks at 25yds, this with ordinary 158gr round nose lead ammo, now I purchased a box of Remington 148gr WC Target Match factory ammo, soon Iwill try this loas for accuracy at 25yds hand rested!!!!....
I would like to have adjustable sights and more punch than the .38 Special, a gun that will withstand extensive use of 158gr JSP/HP .357 factory Magnum ammo.
Any experience with the 21/2 barreled Model 686 will be wellcome!!!!!
Best Regards to yoy and Smith and Wesson Forists!!!!
