I have no mag issues with my .40. Don't oil them. Some folks use silicone. I've not had the occasion yet to take mine apart.
You're right about burning up the ammo and such with the mag. capacity as it is.
I got a mag loading tool for mine, but didn't get a Uplula(spelling). A lot of good reports on the Uplula. I'll get one eventually as well as a Fobus, HK 1, paddleback holster.
