Hi Don
It doesn't have any finish defects, what I was trying to explain is the underside of the barrel from the point the half lug ends to the end of the barrel it isn't completely rounded,until the end of the barrel and it is exactly in line with the half lug. To make it clearer to you, picture it as a full lug barrel and they cut 1/2 of it off and ground it down to the end of the barrel. If you turn the gun upside down and look from the trigger guard you can see the lines that follow the lines on th half lug to the end of the barrel. It is not visible from the side view and only from the bottom, I noticed it when I was giving it the first cleaning from the factory and felt the ridges. If you have one yourself turn it over androll the barrel in your fingers and if it is the same you will feel the "bumps". This is the best way I can describe it to you, it wouldn't show up in a picture.
