Several questions come to mind.

1. How can the city of Chicago buy back something they have never
owned or had control of?

2. Under current federal and Illinois state laws how is this even close to
being perceived as being legal? Are they filling out and calling in a fed
4473 yellow sheet. Are the people actually buying the guns holders of
FFL and all Illinois firearms licenses?

3. How are the guns being paid for? Is the city of Chicago using city,
state or federal money?

4. Who has oversight of the program to make sure all laws are obeyed?

5. How are we to be certain no politician or other crooks are sitting at
the main collection site "cherry picking" all the good stuff?

6. Is the ATF investigating these transactions to make sure no federal
laws are broken.

I bet some of the "city authorized" people involved in the buy back program and actually handling the money and guns are convicted felons.
