Looked at a model 686 with an 8 inch barrel today, nickel plated, nice smith wood checkered grips, mint condition. The owner explained to me it is a no dash model. He wants $650 for the revolver, from your knowledge is this a good deal? I'm not familiar with the smith 686. Will this revolver hold its value for this price?
