Tuning a 1911 EJector? Any 1911 experts?
I installed a new (extended) ejector on my DW Pointman as the old one was loose and seemed to be worn. I tightened the old one by removing it and peening the front post so the roll pin fit snug. This helped but the rear post still sat up a little. The brass still ejected.
Anyway, the new one is in and nice and tight. The front tip of the ejector is longer than the original. Do I just leave it as is and see how it works? Is there any relation between the length of the ejector and how far the spent brass fly?
I fed several empty cases through the gun and they eject manually.
I can post a pic if that helps.
Thanks!
