There are two different things mentioned previously... the finger rest replaces the flate baseplate on the short 12-round mag that comes with the gun. This converts it to match the other mag that ships with the gun... As mentioned, S&W is usually pretty generous and will give you the finger rests if you call and ask.
The X-Grip is a grip sleeve that slides down over the full-size 17-round M&P mag to give you a full grip when used in the compact gun. X-Grips are an aftermarket part but I believe they can be purchased from S&W directly. They are also available at online retailers like
Top Gun Supply.
