Suggested retail on a new 686 is the better part of 1K. The new ones in my area sell a little below $800 so a nice used 686 in the $600 to $700 range is a decent price. If you want one buy it while your money is still worth SOMETHING!

Wish I didn't remember the days of NIB 686's at less than $450.
