That isn't something that happens often, but it can happen. I've only seen it happen once with a S&W revolver since I started shooting them. It was an older M60 owned by another cop.

I think the last time I updated my revolver parts inventory I added a single set of those replacement parts, just in case. I doubt I'll use them, though.
