Just for future reference, loss of the locking bolt has no effect on finction or safety. You could have just as well ordered the locking bolt, spring and pin and replaced this yourself. Sometimes the locking bolt does need to be fit, however.

Someone else mentioned this before. I wasn't sure. I know Colt made revolvers without them in the past. I saw how to fix it but since it was loose enough to fall out figured I better have the experts fit it right for me. The locking bolt would have only cost me $4-$5 from Brownells with my discount btw.
