Someone else mentioned this before. I wasn't sure. I know Colt made revolvers without them in the past. I saw how to fix it but since it was loose enough to fall out figured I better have the experts fit it right for me. The locking bolt would have only cost me $4-$5 from Brownells with my discount btw.
