Bought a new Mossberg 500 at Big-5 Sporting goods, it has a fixed Modified choke, 28” vent rib barrel. In my area can only use steel shot on upland game. I called Mossberg and asked if I can shoot steel and rifled slugs in the fixed MOD choke, they said no?

Does that sound right?
