One heck of a lot of slug shots might, but only might open the choke slightly. Big deal! Model 500 replacement barrels are relatively cheap. The slugs are the only issue, so why not buy a dedicated barrel for slugs with a rifle front sight already mounted? Then you are ready for deer hunting or duck hunting by just switching barrels. ....
