My definition of 'creep' is roughness or 'glitchyness' in the stroke of the trigger, irrespective of the distance it must travel to fire the piece. The way to address this in the VE series, at least, is to polish the interacting moving components; particularly the rear face of the sear which rides against the polymer frame as it cams down and away from striker sear.
I don't tinker with springs.
