I'm working on buying an AR-15 lower. Guy doing the transfer charges 20 bucks. I can cut a deal with seller, he sends a copy of his ffl and I see the guy pay him. Obviously he runs me though NICS.
Alternatively, he is trying to see if he can set up an account with seller and see if he can get dealer pricing and offer me his price with his markup that I will accept.
This is a bit more work than just sending a gun somewhere.
20 to 30 for doing the paperwork sounds reasonable. Shipping should be extra but since the typical FFL is a business they get better UPS rates.
