From all the reports I have heard, the lead is either very soft with the Thunderbolts, thus leading the barrel very quickly, or the coating on them causes the problem. Either way, the reports are that accuracy suffers after very few rounds down the pipe, and it takes a lot more work to get the bore clean afterwards. I personally have had more misfires with Thunderbolts than other brands.

I have a couple of bulk packs on hand, but will not shoot them unless I have to. I bought them before the word came out on them. They cost a lot less for a reason. Oddly enough, I have had very good luck with other Remington rimfire ammo. The Remington "Golden Bullets" (plated HPs) are very accurate in my .22 rifles.
