I had the 40VE a few years ago that I used as a truck gun. It was accurate and reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to get another. The SD series seems to me to be a "Sigma" with as many M&P features as they could squeeze in for the price. I considered the SD9 for a recent purchase but my budget allowed me to get an M&P so...
