Ya know to be honest I have never been a polymer pistol fan. And I always shot either 9mm or 45acp, and I own a few sig sauer ( they are my favorite) so to say the least all my fire arms have always been all metal guns, carried a glock when I was in Law enforcement. Well I wanted to try a 40 cause of all the stuff ya read etc blah blah blah. to make a long story short I bought a sw40ve yeah i know it plastic, but I gotta be honest with ya Im pretty impressed with the gun, trigger is revolver like but for a gun that has no external safteys I cant see how this is a detriment, yeah it takes a little bit to get used to but will make ya a better shooter. And after lookng and handling the SD9/40 and the M&P pro I can assure you that one or two will definately make it into the stable
