I have another question. Originally I had a tentative deal in the works for the 1998 GMC, $7000 out the door - a bit high, I was told. What do y'all think if I were to offer $6000 OTD? -

It looks pretty clean in the pictures. Based on excellent condition retail;

If I'm looking right Kelly Blue Book lists this truck with 5.0 @$5,775

(There is no 5.5) 5.7 takes it to $5,940.

NADA "Clean retail" is $6,700

As far as an offer? 2WD in the winter? Depending on what engine it has, I would only want to have $5,800-$5,900 in it and just tell him that's KBB's top price.
If I *really* wanted it and it was in top condition, all services recorded as being done, brakes, tires good, etc. I would go to $6K or even split the difference in NADA and KBB's top price which would be about $6,300.
