But the thread confirms what I thought from my personal observations. The youth is the market for the plastic guns and the older set are the ones buying the real guns.

Now I am thinking that anti gun Hollywood is the reason for the popularity of the newer, high capacity plastic guns. The youth watches more movies than the elder generation.

I recall how Dirty Harry made sales of the .44 mag soar. When was the last movie made that showed a gun other than black plastic?
