I think Oldman's sweeping generalizations are likely more true than not, and I don't read condescension in his remarks. The suggestion that young men are more likely to enthusiastically embrace the future than desperately cling to the past rings true..... and that they're more likely to be out on a date to a movie theatre on a Saturday night than having a BENGAY evening with Turner Classic Movies sounds reasonable too.
