Any recommendations?
Well, there's more than one way to approach your issue, depending on what you prefer.
1. Learn to shoot a stock M&P. There is nothing wrong with the gun, and your technique is not really suitable for this type of gun. It is a service pistol, meant to be shot with firm, smooth, forward and back strokes of the same speed, going past the reset point, not trying to "feel" exactly where it is. It is not a slowfire Olympic or bullseye pistol.
2. Put in the Apex parts, which give a more noticeable "feel" to the reset and smooth the overall trigger action appreciably. May or may not give you what you want.
3. If you really want the crisp positive trigger typical on a high quality 1911, then buy one and forget about the combat tupperware. They can't match the trigger on a $2000 Wilson 1911.
