I must add a note in defense for the model 58. It has been said that it can't do what another revolver can't do better and maybe it has no useful purpose. Yes there very were few made and they didn't take off like wild fire as hoped, but the 58 can do everything any other .41 or .44 mag 4" revolver can do at a very slight weight advantage, snag free advantage, and to boot, it can do everything and more that any lesser caliber revolver can do and more. It is what it is, a straight shooting business piece that cost a lot less than a 19, a 27, 57 or 29 back in the day. It is a very interesting piece, and it holds a very special niche in the collecting field and the user world as well.
