This is what I found inside my 6" 586 no dash when I cracked it open. It's why I always strip and carefully inspect and clean all new to me old guns. You should have seen some of the crud I've found in old .22 target rifles. Then I reassemble them using only a light touch of oil and on some key areas I may use a grease.
