It depends upon how handy you are. If you are going to replace and repair them American Standard, Kohler, Delta and Moen are all fine. Most manufactures stand behind their product well. If you are going to use your plumber then use what ever he says. Keep in mind anything you by at Lowes, HomeDepot or most other places you will not get parts from them, they do not stock repair parts on almost anything.

I've had very good luck with American Standard and Koher. Koher stands behind everything they sell very very well. Toilets, $15,000 show spas, faucets, everything very well. The big difference is if you go to no-name brands. It's impossible to find parts and even some times instructions for them.
