Well that's a bummer alright. Especially on a " NEW " rifle and to have be without the use of it to send it in for repair. The summers in my area are so short that if I had to send my 12-22 in for a repair the summer would be over when I got it back from S&W and I really don't use a .22LR much if at all in the winter ( 8 months long ) . It would be nice if we had the parts so we could do it ourselves seeing as this a pretty common problem. ( hint hint S&W )
