Mostly you won't need to go to that level of disassembly for cleaning. More than a few of us have buggered-up sideplate screws from that. Plus, you're less likely to lose parts! Good thing S&W has good customer service.

Look up the Washington Arms Collectors online and try to make one of their monthly gunshows at the Puyallup fairgrounds. It's a big show with lots of Smiths.
