That screw in the safety lever is okay. Just take it out, degrease it and use a drop of the medium strength Loc Tite to keep it attatched to the rest of the pistol. If you really cannot stand it, S&W may have an updated version for no more than $5 plus shipping. I would Loc Tite that one in too.
