The Professionals was an excellent film. Like so many of that period, it had a rousing story, good production, fine direction, outstanding cinematography and a memorable musical score. Best of all, it had a cast of dynamic and charismatic actors.

I miss this type of film making. Today it seems to me that computer created imaging and scrubby-faced actors have replaced good old fashioned story telling by fine actors.

I can recall a time when an actor of the stature of a Cary Grant, Gary Cooper or Steve McQueen would enter a commissary and their sheer presence would render the room silent as everyone would simply hold their breath and stare.

Viewing The Professionals, Burt Lancaster and Lee Marvin supported by others in the cast, riveted my attention to the action on the screen. It was a most enjoyable film!
