I was issued a Blackhawk Weapon Fanny Pack when I went to the desert. Like most of these type things, it screamed "this is where I hide my gun" and I hated it. I begged to just buy my own and was allowed to after a month. While it was very well built and had extra retaining besides the belt it was just a dumb idea. I look at man bags the same way. But I hate to admit how functional it was. The M9 and three extra mags didn't begin to fill that thing up. Either way, my partner and I both looked like matching dorks wearing the stupid things.
