Kahles used to make a 2-7 x 36 specifically for rimfire rifles . It had the best optics of any non-target rimfire scope . Check with SWFA.com on their " Sample List " . Many times you can find trade-ins , discontinued models , blems , salesman samples etc for a fraction of the cost of brand new . I have a Leupold 4x rimfire & the optic quality leaves much to be desired , especially in heavy cover / low light . Leupold does have an excellent warranty , but not the best glass . Especially considering what you pay for their scopes .
