Amen. Backpacking shorts with big cargo pockets are great for concealment of a handgun in hot climates. I personally find the M60 or 640 or any gun weighing much over 16 oz. to be a bit on the heavy side for pocket carry, thus I prefer something like the 442 or the 340 or one of the many pocket semi-autos (sacrilege!) for that application, but whatever works, as long as it doesn't pull your shorts down around your ankles, is good.
