In the same boat. Picked up Saturday, haven't had time to hit the range.

Can anyone help me out regarding the hand guard?? Is this replaceable/compatible with the aftermarket ones out there? I see that other M&P 15 models have 2 piece hand guards, and the Sport is one piece and seems shorter. Been looking, can't find specifics.

Any thoughts/suggestions? All I want is to be able to mount a rail for a bipod and light setup.
