Here's a thought: Keep the compliant barrel, and buy the new barrel (Or better yet, an upper) you are looking at. All AR barrels will fit the gun; it's still a regular 'ole modular AR 15. Now; you get the barrel you want, and IF you ever have to move back into the Connecticut area, you can replace the barrel with the compliant one, and you are good to go. Or buy an entire upper, and swap them out at will, in about 30 seconds. Taking a loss on a perfectly good gun is asinine! There is nothing-NOTHING wrong with the sport model lower, nor the upper. As such, there is no reason to throw away some money and DROS out another gun (Throw away some MORE money) when I can promise you; if you point the Connecticut version of the sport at something and pull the trigger, the object on the other side of your rifle will respond EXACTLY as would anything standing in front of an AZ compliant model of any AR 15 variant. It will cease to notice that you don't have a flash suppressor.... about .05 second after you pull the trigger.
