It is personal preference. I come from a 1911 and Glock background. Both of which a tactile reset. My Glock triggers are all stock but have an OEM "-" connector in them. They are what I prefer on my duty weapons. The M&P trigger is not the worst I have seen by far. It does however lack a tactile reset. The take up is light, and the reset point is a bit far forward for my tastes. The APEX DCAEK & RAM give me exactly what I was looking for in the M&P. It now has a heavier takeup, and now the reset is shorter and more tactile. I now have a Glock trigger in my M&P, and it works for me. TXPO
