I'm a 1911 guy. I've never cared for the stock M&P trigger. My first one was from one of the 10# trigger states. It really sucked and to this day I don't care for the factory hinged trigger. I put a Apex competition kit in it and it was much smoother feel and the lighter trigger was a welcome addition. Now on my 5th M&P, all of them have the same Apex kits in them as well as the same 10-8 sight sets. I do the same with my 1911's, same C/S trigger kit and sight sets. For me it's about consistency of feel between them.
