I bought a chrono but not because I like to push to the edge but for accurate load development. When you are trying to duplicate M1 Garand 30-06 ammo you need to know when you get to 2700 fps with a 150gr bullet so you can stop adding powder to the load. It's nowhere near the top end for a 30-06 round but it is just about perfect for an M1. That's just one of many examples why a chrono is a good tool to have when you are reloading.
