Yeah, Python prices have sure gone through the roof!
About 5 years ago, I sold a mint Python "Elite", (mirror polished, all stainless), that I purchased new in the middle 1980's for $1,000.00. It had the box, papers and even an extra set of custom sambar stag grips.
As an aside, it was also the most accurate revolver I've ever shot.
That was an almost "giveaway" price as I've seen Pythons and especially the Elites go for small fortunes nowadays.
