Cucamonga,

Your revolver, like anything else, is worth what someone else is willing to pay you for it in a arms-length transaction.

For a firearm, the best way to estimate this is to join Gunbroker.com and do an advanced search on completed auctions. Only look at auctions where there was an actual winner. Reserve auctions with no winner or auctions with no bids are useless.

To get the most accurate estimate, you will want to compare to auctions which are similar to your's in the following way:

Revision number (no dash, -1, -2, -3 etc.)
Condition
Assessories (original grips, original box, original tools)
Barrel length
Pin vs. Non-pinned barrel

Asking for a price check on a forum like this generally isn't the best way to gauge value. While there are many experts on S&W revolvers here, they are usually experts because they own a number of S&W revolvers and in some cases who multiple copies of certain ones.

Someone who already owns three Model 60's is usually going to place a lower value on one as opposed to someone who is looking to purchase one and has cash in hand ready to buy.
