I know for a fact that with compensated 22 rimfire pistols, especially lightweight ones built for speed steel, the faster the ammo the better the compensators work. At anything up to HV rounds whether they work or not does not make as much difference as the weight of the gun. Once you start shooting 1400+ FPS the recoil and muzzle flip reduction of the comp starts to work. At CCI-Stinger velocites that is the flatest shooting rimfire pistol setup you can put together. Unfortunately most venues now frown on using Stingers in matches due to excessive bullet velocity.
