The Colt is a fine gun and I own, take apart and have worked on plenty of them. When it comes to Double Action Revolvers, Smith has the advantage almost every time! Smiths are smoother, more ergonomic, easier to tune, less complicated, easier to take apart, & are easier to find parts for. IMHO if it's one or the other, go for the Smith! If you can afford both, what the heck.......

The exception on Colt Revolvers is the Single Action Army! Gotta get a few of those
