I can't stand "reach out to" instead of just "call". They use it at my wife's place of employment all the time as in: "Reach out to Bob Smith and find out who's attending the meeting." First time I heard that was on "NYPD Blue". Stupid expression when you can use the word "call" instead. I guess now that we have communications options like email, the person to do the "reaching out" can decide whether to call or email or text...it's still a stupid expression...
