The patrol rifles have a lot more to do with that Charlie Foxtrot in North Hollywood. Only one handgun I know of capable of the light body armor penetration they needed that day and it'd be impractical for the non-combat situations that most police shootings are. I see both sides of the auto vs. revolver debate. Honestly does one make the assailant any less dead than the other?
