Good on you for getting that trigger pull fixed! I was smoking and joking at the LGS last Saturday. They are a S&W dealer. There was a new plastic Bodyguard, a 3" IL model 60 with a funky looking barrel, an IL 640 and a 4" IL 686 in the case.
The new Bodyguard had the nicest trigger out of all of them. Not that it was a good trigger pull at all, just better than the others. You could feel the "step" in the Bodyguards pull that the OP mentions too. The pull was quite heavy too, though nowhere near as bad as the other new S&W revolvers in the case. An action job would be required IMO.
The model 60 had the worst trigger pull. LONG and HEAVY. Even in SA it must have been 8 lbs! I have no use for those lawyer triggers. Especially on a carry gun. Regards 18DAI
