Sorry, but I read this as written:
"S&W put the sear disconnect in there to make positively, absolutely sure that no one could fire the weapon while field stripping it. "
Positively and absolutely sure NO ONE COULD fire the weapon means exactly what it says, and it's wrong.
The fact is, anyone CAN fire the weapon while field stripping it, unless it has a mag disconnect. So letting this go uncorrected would be misleading. Just saying....
