Even though I have a Model 686 that shoots and handles like a dream and I have no real need for the 27, still I am sure I would have wished I had it back had I traded. I agree with you about the handling characteristic of the 4-Inch Model 27. It has a certain appeal that can’t be fully quantified. I still might trade or sell it but I am no longer tempted to practically give it away thanks to you folks on the forum.

Thanks to you and the other forum members for helping me get my head on straight. The man initially told me he had a Lady Smith he wanted to trade. I thought it might be the Model 65 which I was interested in. Turns out, it is the J-Frame. My interest ebbed at that point. I must confess I am not thrilled about carrying a gun that has “Lady” written on it but I do like the slicked action and barrel lug on the Model 65 version.
