I would wager that the .40 cal was a Winchester 401 Self loading rifle. When I was in the 7th grade a fellow came through Rogers with Clydes 34 Ford sedan on a trailer and parked it in front of the Rogers theater and charged to look in it, best I remember most of the entrance holes were on the L.H side, I always wondered if it was the real deal.
